Melin Tregwynt is a small woollen mill in a remote valley on the Pembrokeshire coast. For over 100 years the same family have been weaving wool on the site, keeping the tradition of Welsh weaving alive. Today the mill employs thirty local craftspeople and the products they make are a testament to Melin Tregwnt’s ethos of combining superb quality and workmanship with timeless designs.
This intricate reversible weave was originally created in the 1950’s with help from the rural industries board. It forms part of Melin Tregwynt’s archive and has been produced at the mill since the 1960’s. Woven from 100% pure new lambswool , it is particularly soft as well as warm and easy to care for.
All Melin Tregwynt blankets are finished with a simple double turned hem so you can choose to display either side.
We love the shades of blue – they look particularly good paired with our ‘Denim’ and ‘Midnight’ blue linen cushions.
