The marmite (pronounced mar-meet) is an old-fashioned French cooking pot, traditionally crockery, with handles on each side and a lid, it is used for soups, stews and braising. Unsurprisingly, Manufacture de Digoin’s version (which is part of their classic range) is particularly wonderful and uses their signature, chestnut brown glaze. Perfect for range, oven and Aga cooking it can also be used on the hob and will bring years of pleasure and French style to your table. Truly beautiful and very practical they are a PASCALE favourite.
